Caleuche Reserva Chardonnay 2020
According to Chilean legend the Caleuche is a ghost ship that sails the fjords of southern Chile, led by powerful sorcerers and crewed by sailors and fishermen lured aboard by its ghostly music and enslaved for all eternity. The ship sails at night, always full of lights and with the sounds of a party on board, but quickly disappears again, leaving no evidence of its presence. Those who see or hear the Caleuche but resist its call become a floating piece of wood or marine animal forever.
Tasting notes
Attractive pale lemon yellow color with green hues on the rim. This wine brims with aromas of very fresh tropical fruit against a chamomile and white blossom background. Fresh, balanced, and youthful mouthfeel, a slightly creaminess on the body, followed by vibrant acidity.
This wine will pair well with fish, roasted chicken with lemon, sushi, Thai and Vietnamese food.
Description
Caleuche Reserva Chardonnay from Maule Valley, Chile
Grape: 100% Chardonnay
The Maule Valley is located in the southern part of Chile’s Central Valley. This area, where we find the largest vineyards in all of Chile, has a tradition of growing grapes that dates back to the 17th century.
Located between the Andes Mountains and the Chilean Coast Range, the Maule Valley benefits from a significant temperature variation between day and night, with its rainy season restricted mainly to winter. These conditions allow us to obtain healthy grapes, with high concentrations of color, flavor and aromas.
FEATURED: 290 hectares of own vineyards allow Aromo to obtain the best wines including the Caleuche Reserva Chardonnay.
Four estates:
- El Trapiche
- Ventolera
- Santa Margarita
- El Pilar
